In the latest twitter post on Elite Dangerous twitter, Frontier stated "Pre-order on PC here https://frontierstore.net/elite-dangerous-odyssey-pre-order.html… for the stars to start looking different today."

Can anyone who has pre-ordered clarify this for us?

Are there any changes to the star models/textures in the game after installing the pre-order patch? Or is this just marketing talk?

Given that I pre-ordered it years ago an I'm not seeing any difference, I'd say it's just marketing. Someone prove me wrong please and tell me how to get better stars.

Yes if I remember correctly, in another thread a couple of people mentioned a 5GB patch downloaded after purchasing the Odyssey pre-order.

Yes the textures have been/will be improved. I don't know if this extends to the skybox, but they have said ground textures will be improved. You can even see it in the video for Odyssey they have put out.
