I'm running 12 threads and even with some juicy VM goodness the bump up from 4 cores is there, but not massive. It's the increased RAM size that is really the most helpful for me.

It's nice that cache is now more than system ram on many Pentium 2 builds

AMD's Naples Server class CPU will boast 32C/64T when it launches - it will be interesting to see what the price is set at.

I'll settle for an AMD Ryzen 7 1800X with 8C16T for c.$499 when it launches on March the 2nd.

Yes.

Though not any better than several 200 dollar CPUs.

Probably worse, ED relies on 4-6 cores with a much higher clock rate than that CPU can provide.
