Does it bother you that Sol is permit locked behind Federal Rank? Seems to me like Sol should have been rewritten in lore as an alliance system with no permit. It houses some neat tourist locations, a very convenient moon for canyon diving and is always updated to correspond with new discoveries in the real world. Oh and it has Earth.

Seems like an unecessary limitation to those who may want to see "home".

Why would you think it should be an Alliance system? The Federation was the first faction. It's headquarters is on Mars.

My character used to fly for feds (federal system starting location), but after long and faithful service (gotten to CPO), she got betrayed by federal scum (promotion assassination mission leaving me wanted).
So she decided to join the Empire (was around time the powerplay came in, anime princess FTW). As empire rewards its followers she can now bask in latinum coated Cutter.

No problems with Sol permit

From an RP point of view; Achenar is the capital system of my people. I go there if I want to visit a "home" other than my normal home system.

From an OOC point of view; I have the Sol permit if I ever feel the need to visit. As far as I know (could have passed through without noticing thanks to the route plotter), I've only been there twice. Once to unlock and rank up with Bris Dekker, and once for the departure of the Silly Ships 2 expedition.

But in fact you could visit if you wanted to. You just need to invest some time and some money and you can be there in a few weeks!

Doesnt take very long to obtain the sol permit rank , now the corvette permit rank lol thats a beard growing page turner. Though to be fair i think the cutter permit took me waayyy longer to obtain than the vette.
