How do you kick out a minor faction to make room for another?
That sounds like a job for PowerPlay!

Caveat: I haven't done PowerPlay myself but this looks right - any PowerPlay junkies out there?
Yes, but again, unless this is that factions home systemIs it possible to do this with player minor factions? One of them set up shop in my home system a while back and I want them out.
Crap. Guess I'll go back to just pummeling their influence into virtual nonexistence until they all just up and leave.Yes, but again, unless this is that factions home system

That's something I hate about the whole player faction mechanic. It sucks that they can set up shop in an inhabited system without all the players who call that system home having a say. There are hundreds, if not thousands of uninhabited systems in the Bubble that would be ripe for colonization by PFs, but noooo, they have to be squatters in other people's homes. If this is their home system, you're kinda stuck with them.
Unless they expanded into your system, they can never leave.
