FORTIFY ETHOS, FORTIFICATION, UNDERMINING AND THE GALACTIC MAP etc.

Hello,

I've finished the "English Players Guide Latest" Manual of Elite Dangerous. There is so much information that I don't understand it all. Especially about the "FORTIFY ETHOS, FORTIFICATION, UNDERMINING AND THE GALACTIC MAP" part. I've never seen so much detailed information about any game so far. Unfortunately I didn't understand everything about the fortify ethos etc.

I still need to watch the tutorial video's that are contained at the end in this manual.

I want to know what is the most relevant information about the manual that I need to know to be a pro at this game. Are the videos enough to start the journey? Or are there any other things I need to know that can be of big importance? Also about the marketplace. I saw that there are many marketplace websites on internet where I can buy and sell stuff in this game. Which is the most recommended website for this?

Any help is really appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Greetings,

HonyBee

The best method to learn is to team up with other player in game.

For general information, I have a few links for you:

Inara - Best all round information base, best open an account there:

EDSM, Galactic mapping:

EDDB, Trading data (mostly up 2 date) and other information:

And lastly for planning your ship builds:

Hope that helps and fly save

@HonyBee Further to the above sources, just play the damn game! You honestly don't need to be a master of everything at the start, making mistakes and learning from them puts the "Dangerous" into Elite Dangerous and makes it a fun learning curve. Trust me, try everything and be a Jack of All Trades, some gameplay you'll love, some you'll hate. Worry about mastering your trade later on!

Some EDO info is so complex that you can read it umpteen times, and it'll still be meaningless until you see it in action for yourself. Confucious he say, "Tell me and I will forget, Show me and I may remember, Involve me and I will understand." But then again I'm old-skool and don't get the merits of watching others on twitch/yt do it for you...o_O Have fun, o7.
