How bout we start a living forum novel in the Elite world.

You can pop in every now and again and add a few lines or paragraphs whenever it pleased you. Try to keep the story based in the Elite world, and have fun with it.

I'll kick it off with somthing I made up in another thread which sorta got me thinking about this idea. Lets hope it gets past the first page

Asina had been pulling tricks for as long as she can remember. Each morning's pain is soothed with the knowledge that one day she'll have enough credits to buy her own Krait and avenge her mother's death. Till then, shes gonna smile at every commander that walks in looking for a taste of rocket fuel and adventure.

She had listened to counless stories from her lovers about what lied beyond the walls of her shell - then would watch them the next day as they burned through the atmosphere. She never got tired of looking down at the planet. Sometimes they would leave her gifts. A patch of grass, an Azurian diamond. One time they even left her a ...

"Moooooommmmy !".

She looked down at her son who was playing with a CobraM3 model.

"Yes darling" she repied, breaking away from her dreams. Another customer had been knocking on her door for a few minutes. "I know.. I know, lets go make some money".

As she walked past her son to the door, he pointed at her tattoo and began spelling the 2 initials .. "D" ... "B".

On hearing those letters, Azina felt the touch of a ghost run through her and quivered. When she opened the door, DB was standing before her.

Looking past Azina to the child, DB said “Get your stuff, your leaving.”

Azina looked at him dumbfounded. “But you know I can't get past the station firewall.”

He replied in his usual cold tone, “In 20 minutes, everyone will be getting off this station whether they like it or not. It just depends on how many pieces they leave in. Now move !”

This big emergency to get off the station began 24 hours earlier.
Where Azina had just finished her shift at Millyways Prostitute shop and was heading back to her quarters, she felt slightly depressed that her life wasn’t leading anywhere and said to herself "I seem to be having tremendous difficulty with my lifestyle."
It is of course well known that careless talk costs lives, but the full scale of the problem is not always appreciated.
At the very moment that Azina said this, a freak wormhole opened up in the fabric of the space-time continuum and carried her words far far back in time across almost infinite reaches of space to a distant Galaxy where strange and warlike beings were poised on the brink of frightful interstellar battle.
The two opposing leaders were meeting for the last time.
A dreadful silence fell across the conference table as the commander of the Thargoids, resplendent in his black jewelled battle shorts, gazed levelly at the Torino leader squatting opposite him in a cloud of green sweet-smelling steam, and, with a million sleek and horribly beweaponed star cruisers poised to unleash electric death at his single word of command, challenged the vile creature to take back what it had said about his mother.
The creature stirred in his sickly broiling vapour, and at that very moment the words I seem to be having tremendous difficulty with my lifestyle drifted across the conference table.
Unfortunately, in the Thargoid tongue this was the most dreadful insult imaginable, and there was nothing for it but to wage terrible war for centuries.
Eventually of course, after their Galaxy had been decimated over a few thousand years, it was realized that the whole thing had been a ghastly mistake, and so the two opposing battle fleets settled their few remaining differences in order to launch a joint attack on our own Galaxy - now positively identified as the source of the offending remark.
For thousands more years the mighty ships tore across the empty wastes of space and finally dived screaming on to the first Planet they came across - which happened to be the famously known Holiday resort Planet Rafferty's Paradise.
Even as this was happening Azina was oblivious to what was happening on the planet below her.
Azina was proud of Being a Jameson and Azina had come from a very proud line of Jameson’s that could be traced all the way back to the late 20th century Adult movie industry. Now more that ever she will have the opportunity to shine, it was at this point that the knock at the Door happened, there was DB.

Now move !”

Derrick Bumfluff otherwise known as DB was a 6 foot 7” built like a brick type of bloke. DB had witnessed the attack by the Thargoid fleet and knew this was his last chance to get his Cobra Mk3 out of the Police ship yard, and he knew that Azina would be the only person available that could do it.
Azina gave DB look that only she could give, “very well take me to the ship pound and let’s do this.

Running through the decaying labyrinth that was her prison all her life, Asina wondered what was going through DB's mind. Why now, after all these years did he finally decide to break her free?

“They better not have taken her apart again. I swear if they did I'll kill them before the goids do.” he muttered as they finally reached the yard. “Those 3 guards baby … I want you to distract them like you've never distracted anyone before.”

Asina's eyes widened “Is that the only reason you came for me? So you can get your pile of junk back!”

DB drew her closer and finally looked her in the eyes, “That pile of junk is gonna save our lives. If you don't work your magic, theres no way I'm gonna be able to get to her. If they were droids, it wouldn’t be a problem, but those damn Sygons know me better than you do.”

Past the shadows, Asina can see the Sygon guards stripping pieces of a Fridikian firebird that some hunter failed to smuggle in. “They could have at least killed it first” she said in emptiness. She turned to her son, put her finger on his lips and said “Stay with your daddy, mommys gotta go to work”.

the Child looked up at Asina and promptly said" hang on I thought Derrick was one of the many uncle's that visit you daily and that mr Frobisher from the chemist was my real dad" Asina promplty smacked the child around the ear and quietly said " if you want to get off this station DB is going to be your dad until we find someone better." Asina watched the child run off following DB into the shadows. Asina undone the top few buttons on her top and walked towards the Guards," Hey! boys" the guards turned to look at Asina and

began sniffing the fowl air.

“Shes not ready, but I am” laughed one of the guards as he moved towards her.

“Wait your turn” said another as he spat out a piece of firebird meat.

Within a few seconds the two guards were pounding each other with their horned fists. The third guard picked up the discarded piece of flesh, dipped it into the freshly spilt blood and walked over to Asina.

“Isn't it a bit early for you to be out” he said.

Asina looked at his ID tag and said “I was feeling lonely Jabokai. You know how a girl can get someti .... ughhhh!”

The guard had wrapped his fingers around Asina's neck and began watching her face slowly change colours. “I don't like it when humans get too friendly. It usually means that ..” The guard quickly looked behind him to the yard just in time to see Derrick enter his ship. He let out a deep growl before throwing Asina to the floor and running back to the other guards. By the time he pulled them apart, DB had already charged one of the energy banks and was hovering above them with a finger poised on the fire button.

“Let me do it” said the child as he grabbed the joystick.

“Wait!” screamed DB “You'll kill us all!”

But it was too late.

The beam not only burst through the guards, but through another 6 levels beneath them before piercing the stations hull. A tornado had been unleashed on the lower decks and Asina's limp body began to slide towards the blast hole. DB quickly regained the controls and fired his thrusters to get near her. He then activated the fuel scoop, and with the elite precision of a master, he scooped Asina just before she was ripped to pieces.

Within a few minutes the entire derelict station had been torn apart and there was debris floating everywhere. The Cobra's shield had done it job well.

'That blast hole couldn't have destroyed the whole station' DB thought to himself.

Thats when he noticed the distinctive shape of a Thargoid warship.

Derrick knew he only had once chance of getting past this behemoth and that was to play dead. DB turned all systems off and drifted silently with the station debris towards the planet surface of Raffertys Paradise, minutes later the entire Thargoid fleet jumped into hyperspace heading toward the core systems. “This is bad! this is very bad! We need to warn the empire “DB mumbled to himself.
The young child shaking with fear looked up at DB and asked “Mummy were is mummy” DB jumped up from his seat and without saying a word ran to the fuel scoop, hitting the big red button to release the contents of the fuel scoop, Asina limp body fell to the floor, “NOOOOOOOO!!! “ cried Derrick. Only one thing for it and that was to

reach in under her pants.

“Noooo, leave her alone” cried the child, trying to pull his arm away.

“Almost there...” DB's fingers seemed to be searching for something “…. finally“.

Asina'e body briefly spasmed and then her eyes opened “What happened”. The boy leaped on top of her, hugging her, as he wiped his tears on her blooded cheeks.

Derrick smiled. “I wasn't sure you would restart. You were roughed around quite a bit down there, and I had to scoop you in before you were flushed. I have no idea why those damn reset buttons were positioned there. Its already hard enough trying using 3 fingers to activate them at the same time.”

Asina smiled back. “You should have thought of that when you designed me."

As if to reaffirm the composition of her soul, a grinding, metallic sound interrupted their nexus.

“Ahhh .. I forgot we're still drifting in a pile of junk”. Derrick rushed over to the console and reactivated his systems. The familiar hum of the shields returned and his heart began to slow a little.

“I wonder what they were after” he mumbled to himself as he tried to establish his comm link.

“Who” asked Asina, still waiting for her diags to complete.

“Half the Thargoids fleet .. after they finished here, they warped to the frontier system. I can read their warp sig better than a Fuguras. What the hells going on with my comms.... argh! Failed to initialize!”

DB peered through a side panel to his ships hull and noticed his comms output mod had been partially infused by the torso of a Sygon guard. It's limp arm, frozen in position, seemed to be pointing to the planet's surface.

He closed his eyes, then slowly looked back to Asina “Strap in”.

A Thargoid warship had failed to warp with it's swarm. Motionless amongst the remnants of its own destruction, it would have remained unnoticed if it weren’t for the Sygon's cold intervention. With his finger poised on the trigger, DB was slowly orbiting the predator trying to figure out why it had not yet destroyed him. Perhaps it was for the same reason he had not yet destroyed it - curiosity.

Maybe it had lost power. Maybe the fleet left it behind for some purpose. Maybe it was a trap. Maybe it ... “What the hell”. He noticed an small indentation in the hull's structure. “Thats a docking port ... and its … o p e n”.

By now Asina had left her seat and was watching DB maneuver his ship closer to the giant.

“Why? Just go. That thing just scares me. We're lucky they didn't kill us the first time. Why give them a second chance?”

“Theres something not right here” DB said shaking his head. “I want to get a closer look”.

As the cobra stopped 50 meters from the warship, DB entered a string of instructions to his console. Behind him, a door opened near the boy.

“Look mom, a space suit”.
