Found a ringed White Dwarf

Hi folks,

I just found a ringed White Dwarf. It is orbiting a 50+ solar mass black hole at some 5,500ls. The effect is quite creepy as the rings are not even illuminated. I just love these kinds of rather unusual discoveries. :D

I agree once 2.2 goes live it will be well worth visiting, once u hand it in for scan results let us know where ti is to

I am sorry, the system map provides no additional info and on the GalMap none of the system's additional stellar objects are mentioned. It just says 'Black Hole' without giving the additional M-, L-, T- and D-types. With its age of 13 billion years and the fact that it's not even illuminating its own ring system maybe it can be considered a DC or 'blackbody'.

I don't know how to put it... I... I just found another... [noob]

This time the black hole 'only' has some 35 solar masses and the White Dwarf (type DA0 VII) is orbited by its own ringed brown dwarf. Creepy stuff!

Maybe we could initiate a Tourism Resort CG on that water world and name it Flossken Paradise?

I wonder how these look like ingame, especially from inside the rings. Must be an awesome sight

There are ingame screenshots on the first page inside the spoiler tags. Since the systems were dark due to a lacking central star they looked quite eerie. The dwarfs did not illuminate their rings and having the milky way in the background was also not always helpful. All in all it was quite a sight, although there was little to see :D
