Wondering if there is a scientific explanation for this effect I saw tonight? (or could this be a glitch in the matrix?)
Screenshots taken from close vicinity of a White Dwarf. In the distance (behind & to the right slightly) is @4.6k ls, a Black Hole, at 7.5k ls, a Class L dwarf.
What I could see was the gravitational distortion from the White Dwarf, and as I got closer the 'rift in space-time' appeared on the right. Almost looks like a portal!
Any ideas?
P.S. - The Class L dwarf didn't have the mammoth rings around it shown on the system map
.. (or not that I could see). Again, not sure if glitch or not.
Cheers!
