found a very bright star

Is that normal?

On the image it doesn't appear that bright but as I jumped out of hyperspace my whole screen was flashing^^

You should be able to upload pics after a few posts I think.

Otherwise make sure you actually choose the "insert image" icon instead of just posting the link.

well I made several posts yet... And I use the "insert image" function but the normal .bmp file (standard ingame screenshot) is too big, and if I export it as a .jpeg it still doesnt work

or try to link of a public folder like dropbox or onedrive. should work aswell

I'm gonna say "yes" because I've come across stars that make me want real-life sunglasses looking at my monitor. The lighting effects in this game are insanely good.

If you just use the normal "print screen" on your keyboard then paste it into paint it'll save as a .png, which should be easily uploaded to imgur or some other image upload side.

It's probably quite bright yes, looks like a couple of flares going on. There are a lot brighter than that out there though.

The stars are pretty in this game... My favorite ones are the blue and blue-white supergiant stars.
A couple of pics:

Notice the distance. Still almost 1000Ls away from it, and its already huge.

Readying for fuel scooping, at a Blue-white Supergiant, as far as I can remember.

If you want to see bright, and spectacular, go to R Coronae Austrini. It's a blue white variable that is pulsing very hugely. Ensure your throttle is set to zero before you arrive as it's very very hot
