Found something interesting

I was out looking for uss when I came across this signal. I dropped out of SC and got closer. As I looked over what was salvageable, I noticed a Person Data Beacon, so I moved closer. I saw that it was close to a huge piece of debris so I got closer. The debris rotated a bit and I saw this:

Gave me a bit of surprise! I thought for sure that I was going to get attacked, but it stayed dark. I even moved up to it and bumped it with my shields. No response.

I took the data and ran!

Hmmm... has anyone drawn a line through the systems where these are being found? Doesn't happen to correspond to the expected flightpath of a certain jumping station does it?

Yeah, I found a huge debris field in a USS last week which had a wrecked DBE in it:

I've also seen wrecked Sidewinders and Eagles in others too.

The ones I found were out around the Pleiades, near Maia. So, unless they took a detour out to Maia, this isn't from them.

They are the right size to be the outer wheel of a space station, I think. At this point, there would be plenty of station debrid from wars, pirate attacks, major accidents, etc.
