I have been exploring for some time -- 3-4 thousand systems -- so far .
This is the first time I have encountered anything like this ... I mostly do exploring , lost several ships by not knowing what is going on ..
I found this {{Listening Post}} on a return trip ( cargo loaded and exp data ) over 10 mil worth of stuff ... don't want to lose the ship now !!!
Strange thing It was not in the system list for distance and exploration symbols -- had to be close for it to show up .. I approached it like a planet to explore , but got to within 10.00 ls and nothing happened -- and I decided to hold off until I get some information ... don't want to do like I did with the Quasar Star ..
I plan to go back to base and call in the ( Cobra ) then go back --- if no one has any info ... ( much to DANGEROUS for me ) ...
