Founder world permit, but I'm not elite nor a kickstarter backer

No. Only when you become Elite. A bug, perhaps. I believe there was a problem with that at one time

lol quite the opposite, I did buy a fully A rated fer de lance decided I didn't like it, sold it back and returned to the same ship I had before, so I gained nothing from founders world.
During Beta 3 some accounts got the permit by accident. The error was corrected, but after Beta 3 they stopped whipping accounts so those accounts who had it still have these permits, until you clear your save yourself, then it'll be gone.
Account who have a genuine right to it, will still have it after a clear save. Or not, but thats how I recall it

I am also a beta backer (would have been a Kickstarter or alpha backer if I had heard of it before I did - I have many many hours in the original Elite on the Commodore 64 from my teenage days) and have access to Shinrarta Dezhra. I believe we are supposed to have this, or were inadvertently grouped in with the kickstarter/alpha backers, as I have had it since launch. I have never seen anyone complain about any of us having it.

if a DEV could reply to this that would be great but I've put several hundred hours into my game and I've no intention of wiping save, but if I'm not supposed to have the permit I'm quite happy for it to be removed.

There was a bug that gave some Beta backers the permit. Don't store any ships there until you reach elite. Some misgotten permits have been "lost" along the way.

Nobody's complaining that you have the permit. Use it if you like. Don't use it if you don't want to. You'll get it again eventually anyway.

You are correct, my answer was a bit ambiguous. I meant I got the permit for Shinrarte after becoming elite, I'l never have a founders status.

No worries, I'm sure they know but had a 'meh' moment at the time it happend. You found a lottery ticket and won, enjoy!
I was a premium bata backer (Just after the kickstarter during the backers app days) and I have the Shinrarta Dezhra access permit .. and I wiped my save just after Horizons dropped and I still have the permit.
I believe that if you backed to a certain level, one of the backer starts was to start in the founders system (Shinrarta Dezhra) .. which obviously means that you have the permit to be there.
But like others have said there was a bug that gave loads of people access ..

Are you sure you are premium beta backer and not an alpha backer? Alpha testing came after KS but before PB.
