Founder world permit, but I'm not elite nor a kickstarter backer

I suppose that is very true.

Originally , only the backers of Kickstarter, have access to the world of the founder without being Elite. Take advantage if you want

Are you sure you are premium beta backer and not an alpha backer? Alpha testing came after KS but before PB.

This is getting complicated  :D

I paid £100 so a premium beta backer, but i believe that backers app still basically counted as kickstarter, hence me still having the permit.

All that states is that you will start in that system with bonuses, it doesn't say you are UNIQUE in being able to travel there of your own will, it simply calls it a secret system. says nothing of requiring a permit or who gets one. it says a Decal-carrier can travel there. I'm led to believe a Decal is a ship logo, not a permit.

I got the permit with premium beta - by accident i believe. This issue was raised before. FD aren't going to remove it from anyone now.

Well, as said, I paid 100 quid as well, but only got the Sol permit, not the Shinrarta Deszra one (or whatever the place is called).
Your account must be affected as well...

did you get the beta access during the backer app phase? (which lasted about 3 months after the kickstarter ended)

No I didn't, and now I see what you mean... I got it the regular way I guess, through the frontier online store, on the 31st of may 2014. I never knew it could be purchased any other way.

Yeah, before the store even existed we had the backers app, Which was basically just an extension to the kickstarter numbers .. As when I restarted my save when horizons came out I still had the "Kickstarter" CMDR starts as a choice of where to begin. even though I backed just after the kickstarter had ended

I bought standard beta on the 16th june 2014.

I believe that your account was affected by the bug, so if you reset your save you would probably lose the permit ... but i wouldn't worry about it .. FD won't take it from you if you don't reset ... and FD will also NOT ask you to do a reset :), it's not a big issue. Just enjoy the permit - every module and every ship all with a lovely 10% off

The concept of permits had been indicated in the threads in 2013-2014 with Michael and other Frontier employees, if I remember correctly. Perhaps also in the discussions of the DDA

id like to see permit systems actually have another layer of "something" that makes them worthwhile, some have rare trade goods, but special missions perhaps, the founders world can be accessed with elite ranking as well which is worthwhile

if a DEV could reply to this that would be great but I've put several hundred hours into my game and I've no intention of wiping save, but if I'm not supposed to have the permit I'm quite happy for it to be removed.

Just keep it and be happy, there are people who received 5 billion in credits and didn't return it, sooooo your little permit is nothing ;)

That's exactly it. The Backers' App was a way for Frontier to briefly extend the Kickstarter pricing and perks, so anyone who missed out on the KS could still buy in at the same levels once it finished. Also, existing KS backers could upgrade their pledge levels or add funds to obtain additional copies of perks they'd already earned, which IIRC was something KS couldn't do natively.

Using a quote from "Team America" --- Exactly right Gary !
