founders world benefits?

I have briefly connected to gamma today and chose to start in the founders world. Yes I like the name of the station! However I'm not sure if I'm missing something, but what real benefit is there?

The market prices look pretty good for sure, but nothing you couldn't get elsewhere. The missions are all unavailable because, despite being a founder member of the elite, you have no reputation with the pilot's foundation. Now, I'm assuming this is a bug to be rectified? Along with being able to 'choose any starter ship' which atm means sidewinder only.

I'm not complaining here, just observing. I'm assuming these are bugs to be ironed out. Imo, being able to start in the foundersworld should really give you a head start in rep as outlined in KS otherwise there is little point in choosing (or having paid for) that option.

what is the founder's world name?

I don't remember the name but I found it simply by typing "founders world" (without the apostrophe) into the galaxy map search.

God I didnt think it would be that easy lol! I thought it was supposed to be a galaxy secret! I am sure they will add benefits to this system as they go on. Its obviosuly going to be a special place of significance when they actually get around to it.

Well, I started at the founders world, and the option to choose any starter ship was available to me...I started as a Federal Trader, with a Cobra III, 4000 credits and some cargo....the cargo sold at the starting station for a few thousand credits, so it was a pretty good start to my career.

I seem to remember that the founders world is a closed system, in that KS decal carriers will be able to visit it, so not sure if that means it's a permit system.

Having the various ship options would mean you must of been a kickstarter backer.

Non kickstarter backers only have sidewinder and 100cr option in federation space. And eagle (close by) with mercenary pack pre order bonus.

As Premium backer I just have permit for founders world and Sol but have to make own way there from federation space.

Yes, I am a KS backer. I was just meaning that the OP said he'd chosen to start in the founders world, so must be the same as me. He/she then went on to say "Along with being able to 'choose any starter ship' which atm means sidewinder only". I was pointing out that at the initial first game options I was given the option to start in the founders world with a Cobra and a few thousand credits, amongst several other options.

Does anyone have some more nailed down detail what being a founding member of the Elite means in the game play at the moment. I know what was said in the kickstarter but what is said now?

It is just a place for us Founders to sit back, relax while wearing Monocles and smoking Cigars, undisturbed by the rabble... ;)

Correct, except for the fact that I wear bifocals, smoke an e-cigar, & was interdicted by some riff raff NPC while I was cruising around taking in the view. :(

I'm a bit curious as to how: a) The Founders world is a huge high tech place with AI buzzing round. Did the PF let any old NPC riff-raff in to found? (and even worse (as Faerie says) the AI have the nerve to interdict you), and b) Surely out of any place the station could have a 'rich' (aka Wyrd-like) front-of-house?

[The traffic reports are also fun at present: Cobras: 700, Anything else: 0 :)]
