Founders World Permit - What the Heck??!

Got invited by Lori Jameson, made the long way from Wu Guinagi to Kongga to get that Ale for this particular lady, opened the galaxy map and - BOOM - Founders World Permit required.

Whatever you guys smoke at FD, I would like to try that, too.

Ah, you must be (relatively) new here :)
Not sure what your issue is with the Founder's would requiring a permit when there's so many other systems requiring permits to jump there. I'm currently trying to get the Sirius permit, for example. To enter the Founder's world system, just be Elite ranked in any of the three skills, Trade, Combat or Exploration.

If you have any specific questions about the Founder's World system, I'd be happy to answer (the best of my knowledge) for you. :)

If you're ok with grinding engineer's, it should be trivially easy to grind elite status. I'm not sure if they nerfed it yet, but there are rumors that you can gain exploration rank via passenger missions. It was the most difficult one to get before, but things change. I've never done a passenger mission. so I'm only speculating based on other posts/threads.

You can also get combat elite easily by visiting combat zones in war/civil war areas. Stack a few massacre missions to make yourself filthy rich at the same time. But be warned that the massacre mission stacking will be nerfed in the upcoming update (2.3). Get em while they're hot.

If you don't care about money, find a nice compromised nav beacon and kill the elite ships in there. That's how I accelerated my rank grind. The ships are easier to kill than the combat zones ones because they're not military spec.

Good hunting, CMDR.

Passenger missions do give exploration rank bonusses, however they will be reduced in 2.3 according current beta patch notes.

Yeah, need to make Elite in something to get in there... kind of silly that you get the invite as much as two ranks before, but whatever.
I've gotten use to most of Elite only making British sense. Good thing I watch Dr. Who.

Tying an engineer's requirement to something from that system is just idiotic
