Founding Member of the Elite

I've not said this on the KS comments because I am sure everyone will just gang up on me and shout me down,
but if having a KS decal allows you access to the Founder's system,
then what is the point in pledging £150 to be a founding member of the Elite?

Why be a founding member if any player with a KS decal can go there?

A 5 pound pledge decal gives you entry to the Founders' system.

However, the Founding members get benefits EVERYWHERE! Better deals, and higher likelihood for rare missions (according to FAQ).

As for whether or not non-KS people can get in with a ship nicked from a KS backer, I don't think so. Since we'll be changing ships several times, I think access will be linked to the account

I don't think the Founders' system is itself very beneficial, just exclusive :)

Nice idea :D I'd love to do that. But what I'd really love to do is if the thargoids make an appearance is to steal one of their ships. Can you imagine the reaction you'd get when you entered the sol system!!!

Watch out, watch out there's a taffer about!!! :D

I'm not picking on you Wookie,
but I've yet to see a reply to my post where someone actually comments on the point of my post.

No worries :)! I thought I did answer it though.

The Founders' System is not massively special, and is unrelated to the benefits of being a Founding Member of the Elite. Remember that the Founding members tier was available looong before the tier that started you in the founder's system!

Founding members get benefits at Lave, Diso, Riedquat, Sol, Barnard's Star, Ross 128, anywhere! They will always (?) get better prices for goods and upgrades. They will also get better missions.

Thats pretty much how I read it, shame I can't quite stretch to be a Founder. would like to be but nevermind.

As a non-founder but with founder system access you would have to find this system before you can access it. I know this is not necessarily a reason for becoming a founder but....

... I can't help feel that there must be something unusual or unique about the founder system. If so, those with immediate access (the founders) may have access to something not found elsewhere in the game first. This would be in addition to all the other benefits listed above. Time will tell :)

Perhaps, as a founder, you will be able to change shape, or change the shape of your ship.

Or call upon the forces of the dominion when you get into trouble...

:)
