FOV in VR

Is there a way to increase the FoV in VR?

In the games Options, Graphics, FOV(Field of View) make sure the slider is all the way to the right (if you have not done that already), other than that i am not sure, unless there is an option in your HMD setup options to increase FOV.

I don't think FOV works in VR, and if it did, I'm sure get some sort of weird fish eye effect that would probably make vomiting a distinct possibility.

on Vive, u can use the side knobs to increase distance of display from your eyes which provides a FOV increase. I see it happening while headset is on and I turn the knobs. Its not much, but better than nothing.

You are right, technically impossible because it would ruin the geometry, HMD specs = in game FOV, no more no less

Get as close to the lenses as possible. If the topology of your face demands it, remove the foam cushion to do so.

Isn't that for setting the IPD? Maybe you just have wide eyes so it works out.

Nope, ipd is the little single on headset. The fov is driven by turning the side pullout knobs on the headstrap.
