FPS drops after a few minutes

Everytime I start the game up, the game runs completely smooth, perfect even. But after a few minutes of playing, the FPS suddenly drops by a lot and its really hindering my gameplay. Anyone know why or how to fix this? I've tried changing my graphics, I have the recommended graphics setup on my pc, I've tried restartin numerous times.

How big is your park? Number of rides, guests, pools? How detailed is it? All those can cause lag to occur if they exceed a certain level depending on your machine.

The park is closed, there's one ride. It doesn't matter what park I have loaded in though, it could even be just an empty one and the same problem occurs
