Fragment Cannon, Rail Gun, and multi cannon differences

Hello everyone. I'm outfitting my cobra for bounty hunting and taking down the $150,000 pirate assassination missions (already succeeded couple times).

I like to have 2 class 2 pulse lasers but for my other 2 "spots" I'm debating either a fragment cannon, rail gun, or multi cannon. Are one type more expensive to re-arm than the others? I've had fun with some heat seaking missiles but they aren't quite enough.

Any thoughts on the three weapons I've mentioned and the differences between them all? Love to hear all of your thoughts.

Thanks!

Rails guns are kind of expensive to run, but all of these serve vastly different purposes. Think of teh fragment as a shotgun, close range heavy damage. The rail gun is more like a sniper rifle, and the multicannon is more like a machine gun.

I think I would mostly ignore the costs and make the choice based on play style and skill. If you are in a fast and nimble ship and can stay very close to your target and like up close battles then the fragment might make sense. If you prefer keeping distance and are good with timed long range straight shots the rail guns would be great... keep in mind that there is a slight delay for firing the railguns so it's more of a skill based weapon. For pretty much every other scenario the multicannon is kind of the 'go to' default choice since it's pretty good at anything.

Rails are very good at targeted sub systems given you hit them proper ( more easier said than done ). If you going on a NPC spec ops mission, target FSD or some other major system with the Rails. Keep in mind the medium range, at short they are feeble more often than not. MCs are very good at precise targeting ( gimbals ) and a must for me for cargo hatches work but I do not use them for killing ( unless I have to ).

THIS.

I tried Rails once, but didn't like the delay nor ammo/heat issues. It just didn't suit how I do things. Found regular Cannons to be more my style... hitting power, but not the "spray-and-pray" of multi.

Same with lasers. If you're a guy that just wants to hold down FIRE forever on gimbals and just hope for the best, then Pulse is probably your thing. If you can actually fly and paint your target, the greater heat buildup of Beams will not be a problem for you.
