So, not strictly speaking Exploration, but since I was noodling around in the Black when I had the idea I thought I'd float it here.
Last night, whilst exploring, it occurred to me that I really like the sound of the Frameshift Drive in Super Cruise. So I had an idea.
I reached a point where I could log out, and loaded up the Frameshift training mission. I got the mission itself out of the way (mostly so there's no annoying clicks and beeps) then loaded up my audio capture software (Audio Hijack Pro on a Mac). I should also point out that I've switched off the music.
I came to a full-stop. I started recording. I powered up the drive, then entered Super Cruise...and left it there for just over half an hour. Then I throttled back down to zero, came out of Super Cruise, waited for the final FSD 'tink' sound and stopped recording.
I then added this file to iTunes. Went upstairs with the wife and dogs, lay down on the bed with a good book and with this playing in the background. I love it. Somewhat to my surprise, so does my wife. It's incredibly restful.
So...anyone else done this?
