I just bought the game, and I am trying to use the frame shift drive. According to the controls , that button is Y, but it won't work. I had to use the menu on the ship to start it, but now I can't exit because the button won't work. Please help.

(Y) is for the classic controle scheme.

Are you using the classic controle scheme? it's not set to this scheme from the get go.

I actually figured out the problem a while ago. When you start the game, controls are automatically set to classic. To fix this, go to controls and change preset to default. You can then further tweak controls by going through the buttons. But anyway, once you change the preset to default, the frame shift drive button is Y.
