Frameshift inhibitor gravity bomb

I think we need some way to slow down people who flee interdiction, but I understand that it should not be a griefing tool.

My solution is a gravity bomb that affects a 30 km bubble. It would act as a factor 24 mass inhibitor slowing everybodies frameshift, including the bomber.

It could be on a timer, I reckon with a random element, say 180 secs + 10secs x r where r is a number between 1 and 12, making the bomb last between 3m 10secs and 5 mins.

Balancing points

Unfittable on anything smaller than a cobra
Costs 200k per bomb makes it uneconomic on individual small traders
Big, big fine for use near stations/on system authority ships
Cannot be used in an existing gravity bomb bubble
Double edged sword. You may have bitten off more you can chew.

Thoughts?

Sorry, can't agree there. If you want to prevent people escaping once interdicted, you'll just have to develop a strategy to do so - or pick targets that you know you can reliably mass-lock using your ships urm, mass.

Perhaps there could be room in the game for a specialist interdiction support ship though - to do pretty much what you suggest, but balance this out with the power draw required means it can't hold offensive weaponry. Teamwork possibilities there.
