Part of my (vague) plan for my franchise at full release is to set it up as a pet rescue with the majority of animals bought in 'former pets'. Like Monkey World rescue. Yet to see how possible this is with the animal market on full release and the breeding mechanics.
However, I'm sure there will be loads of people wishing to make a story out of their franchise. It would be great if, when I've bought an animal from awesome animals Ltd. I could then see their biog somewhere e.g. "awesome animals Ltd. was the brainchild of magician Awesome Steve who got sick of seeing the mistreatment and smuggling of rare animals within the entertainment industry. From a handful of animals the company has grown to 4 sites with more than 100 happy critters across 25 specied"
I was going to suggest an editable animal bio as well for animals we sell on the market but I can see how that might worry a developer aiming at an all age game because there will always be idiots. Plus it might start to clutter things too much.
What do we think? It might stop the market feeling so much like a black market sale and give it a bit more fun and colour.
