Franchise - comunity challenge, Vulnerable Animals (17 of may, 2021)

Is just me or the challenge of this week have a bug???

I only managed to return 3 animals to the nature and then the meter stopped going up.

Has anyone been through this?

Or I am doing something wrong??

Please Help Me

I'm up to 26 so far (mostly animals that were already there in my various zoos, who are just getting released).

(This may be obvious, but one thing to check is to make sure that they're all three stars, since those are the ones that count toward the challenge).

I have 121 and the meter's still going up for me. But we need a LOT more people participating if we are going to beat this challenge! May be the first one since the 3* birds that fails- and I put a LOT of work into setting up for this challenge! :(

It is fun, though- I have 14 pens of cheetahs (got to put my long-time cheetah breeding project to use!) , big herds of reindeer and hippos, a big pen of mandrills, and assorted dingoes, black bears and other Vulnerable species.

You can do it everyone! ✨

@Rick_Halen Let me know if you're still having issue after you've checked and if so I'll look into it for you!

Thanks man, you helped me. I don't know if I am Dummy or the description in portuguese is not so cleary (the language which I play)

They just write: "Release 3* vulnerable"

I will never know that * means the stars of the animals

Why just don't write: "Release vulnerable animals with 3 stars or more" (for example)

OMG So confuse o_Oo_Oo_Oo_O

or maybe am I just really stupid :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Anyway, thanks for our help

Need to take a Look at the Big Cat Conservation Statuses. They breed like Rabbits in my current Zoo 😉
The only cat is the Snow Leopard.

Yes they breed a lot, but the cons is you can have just one male and one female per habitat.
For this challenge I am betting in Mandrils, they breed fast and 1 male can do 9 females
Parallel i am breeding Babirussa too, 1 male for 5 female

Clouded Leopard and Cheetah too :)

For those interested, here is the link with the vulnerable animals:
Yes, cheetahs are the way to go with this challenge! I am up to almost 200 animals released and the vast majority are cheetahs. They breed quickly, males can be kept in groups of 3, and they get to 3* status in just a few years. I probably have released 10 cheetahs for every 1 of another animal.

Started breeding Komodo Dragons (This Species will maybe anyways live in that Zoo someday) and the Tortoises aren't given Contraceptives for the Duration of the Challenge

The problems here are that babirussa are quite unpopular (like warthogs) and thus may never get to 3*. And mandrills take waaaay too long. In general, the slower-maturing animals take forever to get their stars. I have mandrills and hippopotami and have released very few because they just take too darn long to get to 3*. I will probably have 50 or 60 hippos left over after this challenge!

Yeeeess ☹️☹️☹️

My animals are taking forever to reach 3* 😣😣😣😣

Maybe is because that we don't reach neither 50% of the challenge yet, so frustating 😞😞😞

I kind of gave up on this challenge, the effort x reward is not paying off, at least I didn't spend a lot of conservation credits

I think I'm somewhere in the teens on this. Some of the vulnerable species don't tend to go to three stars during their lifespan. I had a couple of gold star komodo dragons that popped out several clutches and finally died of old age (and in a zoo with 1.5x slowed animal aging) without getting past two stars. Same with my tortoises, and they live a long, long time.

I've had most luck with my dingos, for some reason. I have to remember to release them right before they become infertile. This is not exactly realistic: I don't think any zoo re-introduces dingoes to the wild, and they certainly wouldn't wait until an animal is nearly senescent to do so, but that's how long it takes for the animals to get to three stars.

I notice the challenge is proceeding pretty slowly at the community level. Seems like this always happens when there's a star requirement for animals. The system for advancing animals popularity with guests (which is what I assume the star rating signifies) is really erratic and random, it seems, especially for species that aren't "super sexy" like lions or giraffes.

5 Star Tigers don't seem to count :(
Neither Sibirian nor the indian (don't know what they are called in english) tigers I released where counted for me. I released about 10 3 to 5 star rated tigers, but my count stays 0

(and hey - I got my forum-account back YAY)

I don't know why I should play franchise at all.

The challenge is for habitat animals that are marked as "Vulnerable" as their conservation status in the zoopedia. (Note that they also need to be three stars or higher).

Aldabra Giant Tortoise
Babirusa
Binturong
Cheetah
Clouded Leopard
Columbian White-Faced Capuchin monkey
Dingo
Formosan Black Bear
Galapagos Giant Tortoise
Giant Anteater
Giant Panda
Hippopotamus (full sized)
Indian Rhino
Koala
Komodo Dragon
Mandrill
Polar Bear
Reindeer
Snow Leopard
Sun Bear.

So ok, in german the text says "gefährdet" and both tigers are "stark gefährdet". I didn't think that the challenges were to take "literally". So the animals may not be more endangered than the description demands. This seems to me a little..... weird? But ok, franchise is not my sort of shoe, anyway ;) - Thought I could help, because I think this challenge is going to fail. But I'm back to sandbox :D

Thanks for the Information. I've started to breed those for the Challenge 😕

Pure bred Dingos are extremely rare in the Wild due to breeding with domesticated Dogs, so it makes Sense if they get released in a Area without domesticated Dogs (if that even exists where they live)
