In addition to campaign and scenario mode, what if we had some sort of game play mode where you own a theme park management franchise (think Six Flags and Cedar Fair), and you started of with a limited amount of funds and you purchase parks owned by other companies that are being sold from a map. You then fix it up, add more rides, etc., to turn up a profit. You then use that profit to purchase another park, or if your funds allow for it, purchase some land and build an entirely new park. Meanwhile you manage your other parks at the same time, the revenue from those parks still flowing into your funds even if you don't have them open necessarily. So you have ONE global bank account, and this is where it mainly differs from the regular campaign mode.
I'm bridging this idea from Frontier's mobile game "Coaster Crazy", where a similar concept is in place (purchase coaster plots from a map, build a coaster that meets the goals, routinely collect money from other coasters you've built, etc).
Does anyone else think this would be fun or am I just weird? [haha] What else could build upon this idea? Perhaps the bigger your franchise gets, the more popular you are, therefore attendance rates to all of your parks increase accordingly?
