"Franchise Mode"?

In addition to campaign and scenario mode, what if we had some sort of game play mode where you own a theme park management franchise (think Six Flags and Cedar Fair), and you started of with a limited amount of funds and you purchase parks owned by other companies that are being sold from a map. You then fix it up, add more rides, etc., to turn up a profit. You then use that profit to purchase another park, or if your funds allow for it, purchase some land and build an entirely new park. Meanwhile you manage your other parks at the same time, the revenue from those parks still flowing into your funds even if you don't have them open necessarily. So you have ONE global bank account, and this is where it mainly differs from the regular campaign mode.

I'm bridging this idea from Frontier's mobile game "Coaster Crazy", where a similar concept is in place (purchase coaster plots from a map, build a coaster that meets the goals, routinely collect money from other coasters you've built, etc).

Does anyone else think this would be fun or am I just weird? [haha] What else could build upon this idea? Perhaps the bigger your franchise gets, the more popular you are, therefore attendance rates to all of your parks increase accordingly?

I did check your stickied thread, but I guess "Multi-park Profile System" didn't sound synonymous with "Franchise Mode" to me. My apologies. Hard to keep up with all the threads being posted!

Either way, I feel like I got a bit more specific in my post. Mods feel free to merge threads if you deem it appropriate!

Hey no problem [up] [big grin]
Not your fault, no need to apologize ! It's really hard to know if something already been posted [yesnod]

And I would have changed my stickied thread, but it's impossible [ugh] I cannot edit my message. And yes, threads need to be merged when it is necessary, but we dont have moderators on this forum (I mean, yes we have some, but they are inactive and they dont merge double-threads. I do not understand why they are still mod to be honest)

I like your idea btw [up]

Thanks! I was wondering last night how they would improve/change the campaign mode, and then I started thinking about Coaster Crazy and how the gameplay works in that game, and I thought it'd be a really cool idea to transfer over to Planet Coaster. Perhaps Frontier already has something similar in mind!

I guess it's a good thing that there was another thread discussing a similar idea, that means I'm not the only one who thinks this would be fun!

I LOVED the scenario modes in RCT1/2. The campaign mode was good in RCT3 as well, but for some reason it didn't "hook" me like it did in the previous games. Maybe that's because I was more consumed with the sandbox mode and being creative. [haha]
