Franchise or Sandbox?

I mostly play Planet Zoo for the creative part but I do like to have a bit of a challenge and figure out how to best build a zoo that doesn't just look nice but works properly as well, so I've only been playing Franchise. Haven't seen many bugs since the last patch and Franchise is very playable for me now.
While the latest patch did kill my biggest zoo, it wasn't because of bugs but because it had a layout that never should have worked. I guess the patch exposed my poor design and I've enjoyed figuring out what I should do to avoid the same problems.
My biggest problems were: a. Guests going back through the entrance area to get to the next animal, creating a huge crowd there with everyone hungry, thirsty and especially angry and b. Too many Gharials, Macaques, Nile Monitors and Komodo Dragons so I had insane food costs.

Franchise mode can be tough, but if you know the market a bit earning credits is very easy. Even without putting animals on the market it's( too) easy to earn credits releasing animals like Cheetahs and African Wild Dogs. I think more people would sell on the market if they lowered the credits you get for some of the animals when releasing them.
Animals like Cheetahs and Red Pandas I usually have to put on the market for less than I would get releasing them, just to help keep up genetic variety and make good quality animals easier available for others. In the long term this should help myself as well; if only more people would sell on the market and not just release because it takes a few seconds more to put the animals on the market.
There are almost always animals available, just not always of the quality I'm looking for. Frontier posts a lot of mostly lower quality animals for very little credits or some money.

As for the Trade Center lag: it may be coincidence but, after setting the polling rate of my mouse to 500, I've had very little problems with the online market. Before I had to click about 10 times on most market buttons but now everything almost always works in 1 click.
I have noticed though that having programs running in the background that have a lot of connections open, even if they use very little bandwith, the clicking problem returns though it's not nearly as bad as before.

Long story short: play Franchise, it's fun ;)

Prefer franchise currently but thinking of switching to sandbox. Have made 4 profitable zoos but really don't want to start again and research everything needed to be fully creative once more.

Would really like to see franchise mode only require research needing to be completed in one zoo for the others in the franchise to take advantage. In this technology driven world it doesn't seem realistic that information/data couldn't be shared globally between franchise zoos.

I play 100% sandbox, the idea of relying on other players to get animals, and the ridiculous costs they will put on them does not appeal to me. Nor does the micromanagement, I just want to make a pretty zoo, pretty enclosures and architectural designs and enjoy the animals and get attached to them. Not have them die every 15 minutes on me or have to worry about constant machine breakdowns etc.

In the end, I just want to play a zoo game the way I want, and thankfully Sandbox mostly does that (there are still some options and functions I would love to have access to but atm it is still in a good position for playability)
