fraps and trackir,, alpha 2

It's most likely a user error , but last night when in A2, I tried to record
The screen with fraps, but now I have a trackir 5 tried for first time,
When I hit record , trackir freezes in its last position, until I stop recording.

Anyone else the same , do I have something miss configured

Cheers guys

So no one has the same issue , so must be the way it's configured.

Now on 2,1 , tryed again . This what I do and what happens,,

In game ( of course )
Hit f9 ( start recording )
Lights on trackir go from green to red ,
No trackir control

Hit f9 (stop recording )
Trackir active

Now I must admit I'm only in window mode , not tried full screen...

Any help , ideas , New toy , got yesterday, so most likely user error

You need to look at the TRACKIR buttons that are set by default to use F9, F10, F11, F12..
I know from experience they are best when set to ctrl-F9, ctrl-F10, etc etc for avoiding conflicts with games and other recording software..

The F12 is TRACKIR's default for re-centering.

I also set my FRAPs to numpad asterisk.

See my TRACKIR guide for other info.. http://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=11117

How do you like the trac ir?? I have seen it but it was a while ago and it kept freaking out on the guy I was watching use it.

Well since I joined in december , I have new system , new x52pro, and a trackir early stages , but now I have 3 screens not full correct , but Jeri g trackir makes the flight so much better , you sight a lot easier , worth the buy ...

Max thanks for the tip fraps working correctly now

As others have said, it is because the default recording keys in FRAPS clash with the keys in Track IR.

I use TrackIR, Fraps and VoiceAttack without issue. I have F8 set in Fraps for video capture IIRC.

Commander Wombat

F9 disabled Track IR f12 resets it.

F9 is default for recording in Fraps... so everytime you record you turn off Track IR.

Easier to change it in Fraps... set the record button to F6 or something down the function keys list..

That will solve it :D

look forward to seeing your videos!
