Isn't being a member of Alliance based on free will? I thought that you decide to be in Alliance, you are not forced to be in like in Federation or Imperium.

Well, it looks like certain people are pushing to leave the Alliance, shouldn't they have that choice. If not, the Alliance 'freedom' is a lie.

The Alliance is the only faction i'll ever consider supporting out of the main three.

The cluster of Alliance systems in that area has always had very high player activity.
