Free look while in the cockpit?

Is it possible to look up or down, right or left while sitting in the cockpit? And no, I'm not talking about the free camera, I'm talking when you're sitting in the cockpit, in a first person view. I thought you could but maybe I'm confused with Star Citizen.

Found it. Headlook. However, I didn't find any keybind to toggle it. Is there one?

Yes, possibly a mode.

But I am not on the right machine to tell you where about in the many bindings it is and I shifted it from the default a long time ago.

Yep - Ship/ModeSwitches/Headlook, with a toggle/hold button function option (EDIT: Expand the list tree) - defaults to middle mouse button.
