Friends List - Hide Online Status

Hello. Can anyone tell me please if there's a way to appear offline to people on my friends list, as there is on Steam or various chat and messaging programs.

I've no desire to spy on my friends, so I'm fine if the setting makes them appear offline to me, too.

I'm sorry, I don't really understand that.

If it isn't a function that currently exists - as I infer it isn't from your reply including "that would be" - perhaps it might be considered as an option in solo mode?
