Friends list issues

Hi guys, i might be totally missing something here but i'm having issues with communicating with people on my friends list.

They are showing as online when i go to friends and group management but in the comms panel some have like a loading icon next to their names constantly with no communication options coming up when i try and select them.

Am i being stupid and not getting something obvious here?

I'm experiencing this issue as well, with two different friends. Sometimes we are able to connect but for the majority of the time I have a "loading" symbol next to their name. I guess that this means the game is trying to connect me with them?

Anyway, I can't communicate in-game with anyone who has the loading symbol next to their name. I have tried using both Voice and Text comms unsuccessfully.

Things that I have tried doing at my end:

1. Disabling UPNP in appnetconfig.xml
2. Setting a specific port in appnetconfig.xml
3. Restarting the game to try and get into the same instance

What's frustrating is that sometimes I am able to connect with my friends, but I can't see enough information to know why it works or not. I haven't raised a ticket, because I'm not exactly sure what to say!

Just copy your post into a ticket and attach a netlog file from a session when you tried. To me that reads like a pretty good description, and about as far as you can get without more detailed knowledge of WTH the game is actually doing in the background.

Oh, and don't add yourself as a friend, I currently have a problem where I can't unfriend myself
