Friends with Benefits?

So...a station has turned green. Now what does that mean? I really see no difference except color. There is no priority docking, the missions are the same, I'm interdicted by "green colored" criminals and the prices of everything is still the same. Am I missing something?

Thanks

Check outfitting ...

They now like you SO much that they will try and confuse you by being bright green blobs on a bright orange circle on your scanner!

Also, I'm not really sure.

Neither me, but at Allied level the subfaction stations I was allied with expanded their outfitters gear list (and better missions in BB).

I've heard that but there was nothing new when the station I was at turned green. No new outfitting choices or anyhing.

Maybe the "better stuff" comes along only at "Allied" level instead of just "friendly"?

I dunno, I never really did take note of changes, and I do indeed have a few "Allied" systems.... I just pick a spot, keep doing missions until ALLIED then I move on ... :p

I think at friendly there is little difference for now, although in large group instances If I'm attacked I think I've had greens help out. At allied I know costs of outfitting changes and often the range of things you can outfit.

They are slightly less likely to scan you, and you can accept better-paying missions from the bulletin board i.e. those that used to say "this faction does not trust you enough". If the station sells either the clipper or the dropship, if you're allied with them, then you don't need the respective naval ranks. I don't know if you have to be allied instead of just friendly for this, but I read that they offer you slightly cheaper fuel as well.

If you're friendly/allied with the station because you're friendly/allied with the major faction it belongs to, then you get interdicted in SC much less often.

Maybe I should stick to systems I'm allied with... I normally "move on" the moment I am ALLIED with the controlling faction of that system :p

Yea, I do that too, and often hear afterwards my boyfriend state over Mumble, "by the way, you missed this XYZ-thousand mission here", and go like ... FFFFFF!...

Yep, they do.
