Friendship Drive Charging

It's probably just me (or this computer) but have they changed the voice slightly for "Frame Shift Drive Charging" so that it doesn't sound like "Friendship Drive Charging" any more?

Is it just you? I don't know maybe a forum search would turn up hundreds posts about the same thing.

I hear "Frameshift Drive" but my hearing tests show I've still got very good sensitivity. If you've damaged your hearing with loud noises or just suffered age related degradation then voices over background noise will start to sound garbled.

Or your speakers are rubish

I think you entirely missed the question there, but never mind. And yes, my speakers are rubbish, I play with what I can afford. Is that okay?

I play with an audio headset and thankfully never heard "friendship drive" nor "enemy shields are fine"... mqybe it sounds like that to people using speakers?

When I started playing I heard frame shift drive, until one day my sister heard it and asked 'did that just say friendship drive'. Hadn't occurred to me before that, but now I only hear friendship drive. I'm fine with it though. Makes me smile

I heard "friendship" pretty quickly and only heard that for a while but lately I've been only hearing "Frame Shift" hence the question, I wondered if they'd changed the voice slightly.

However...

... I did start using a headset and I had only heard "frame shift" for a while, even with the speakers, I heard "friendship" yesterday so the voice probably hasn't changed just my perception of it (improved after using the headset).

I was going to post a message about the station's "docking request granted" and what it can sound like to slightly dirty minds, but incredibly enough the forum software now blocks that word too. Unbelievable. You'll just have to use your imagination. Be dogged about it.
