General / Off-Topic Fringe TV series. Worth a watch.

So after watching Dark Matter and Kill Joys, I was looking for something sci-fi to entertain me. After a bit of googling I discovered 'Fringe'. It's really hard to explain it in any meaningful way without saying something spoilerish.

It's basically like this: Weird stuff happens and a FBI agent has to investigate. What it isn't is a cheap X-Files rip off. It's four and half series long (22 eps a series) and it's plot is pretty solid and just about everything in the episodes is relevant even if it doesn't appear so at the time. Sure, there are a few weak episodes, but not that many and there are plenty of high calibre ones too, along with a few genuinely funny ones.

If you've not watched it or if you only watched a couple then gave up I heartily recommend it.

Now if anyone can point me in the direction of my next sci-fi program... :D

Fringe is absolutely genius. The theme tune is a masterpiece and Walter Bishop is the greatest superhero of all times.

Fringe was a good show, and what I really liked about it is that they finished it, it didn't just get cancelled and given up on.

I've just started watching Defiance, 2-3 episodes in, turning out to be quite enjoyable so far.

One of my fav bits (don't worry not really spoilerish) was in the lab, Peter is getting ready for an experiment thingy, looks at Philip "You're bald.... [whispers] he's a observer.." In fact that ep was probably my favourite.

So late to the Fringe party. :) 12 Monkeys is decent. Continuum starts well but runs off the rails later. Short cancelled shows that you might like - Almost Human, Sarah Connor Chronicles, Odyssey 5. Minority Report starts today.
