The Acorn Electron was a cut down version was the BBC micro. Famously the Electron version of Elite lacked many features such as colour or a sun. But there was always the suggestion off possible future expansion possibilities .

That isn't my Electron which was given away to neighbour kid for free! That doesnt include the sound expansion or the modern raspberry pi. At some point you might as well have got a bbc micro which can be expanded modded further with a nula. The AE version of Elite was in Black in white only and didnt have a sun or thargoids
