Frontier and steam account no longer linked

The launcher no longer has a link to link them, only an Epic account. My Frontier account of many years is no longer linked with Steam. This is the reason all my third-party sites stopped updating as the ED market connector can no longer authorise.

Any ideas?

You didn't link your new Epic account with your long-standing Frontier account, did you?
If you did, that broke the Steam-Frontier link, I think.

AFAIK on Frontier account can be linked to only one Steam OR Epic account.
Would love to see some sort of confirmation by FDEV whether that's the case or not.

If you linked your Epic account to the same Frontier account that your Steam account was linked to (same email on the Frontier account), I believe the Epic account now takes ownership of it.

Do you still have your CMDR save data? I believe that is all part of the Frontier account.

I used the Epic store one but created a new account. I did not link that with frontier but Steam has gone. Epic launcher does not even reside on the machine anymore. I assume Frontier has a way to re link historical accounts?

Trying to unlink the notso Epic account gets this result.

I would suggest you open the ticket as the message says.

But also, let’s start at the beginning. So when all was well, it sounds you had “SteamAccountA” linked to “FrontierAccountA”. Everything was ok at that time.

What happened next? Please provide exact step by step. I don’t work for FDEV so I probably won’t really be able to help but I might be able to provide a suggestion in what may have happened.

I've put a ticket in as it's very suspect that Epic was able to associate an account. I certainly have not done it and the Epic account was an entirely different email and account.

I also can't unlink it from there. The link is there but does not work. Food for thought.

I won't be letting Epic anywhere near me again. I'm sure it's in small print somewhere that I agreed to it. But I did not willingly link another CMDR to the new account created for Epic. SO that's gone.
