I just had a revelation.

ED 2.1 is like a Top Gear project: ambitious but rubbish!

You gotta admire it for the vision but the execution is often facepalm inducing.

Actually there's anothe space game thay comes to mind when I hear "Ambitious" and "Rubbish" as a description...

And yet Top Gear is still one of the best shows on TV (well was anyway). By the same token ED is still one of the best (if not the best ) current space trading game on the market.
