Frontier Auth Login not working (only for me or anyone else)?

Hi there,

just wanted to start a round ExBio and opened up EDMC as usual.

EDMC asked me to auth my account - as it does it sometimes - so I was sent to the Frontier Auth page. But whenever I try to authorizse any app or even the ED Arx Store the Frontier Auth page fails to authenticate me. It worked flawlessly two days ago with no man-made changes made to the used software in this time.

EDMC just tells me "Awaiting full CMDR Login".

I can get somewhat half-way logged in. But when I click "continue" or "login" the page just loads a bit an that's it.

What I get when trying to authenticate into the Arx store is an "Error 500". See screenshots below.

When trying to insert images in this thread the forums sometimes tell me "oops, there was a problem" - but when posting everythings seems to be there.

Tried this using different browsers without success.

Are you also experiencing issues like this?

I've been getting the same since the last EDMC update a couple of days ago. Every time I swap ships, it pops up a login page.

Logging into the Frontier Store works fine, though

You can force it to authenticate by starting elite in solo mode first then start edmc from the EDMarketConnector - localserver-auth.bat file in the install folder. But edmc still doesn't work properly.

Thank you a lot CMDRs.

Guess I'll just wait for the next release of EDMC then.

Shouts go out to the maintainers of this great tool!

Try a different browser.
Or, turn off any anti-malware protection you might have installed in your current browser.

I've seen this several times.
I use Firefox.
Switched to Edge, and it worked first go.

The other thing to try is click inside the password field before hitting submit, or retype any cached password and hit submit.

Hope one of these helps.

Did this already in several browsers, as mentioned above.

But it seems to be most likely related to an EDMC problem that is already taken care of.
