Frontier, bug fixes are supposed to fix the game!

Same on PC, even with a brand new map. Game lags to a halt, even on mid-small maps, and while it's technically playable it's a subpar experience. Playing on medium graphic settings, Nvidia 3070, 32 GB Ram, 11th Gen Intel i7.

Seriously, the game has been broken for 4 days now! I don’t know about PC or PS but for Xbox the game has been mostly unplayable since launch despite us paying the same full price as everybody else. In my opinion, at least in the US that may count as fraud…

Hey Rhino!

We're aware of this issue and our QA team is working on replicating it. If you're able to share your save files through a Support ticket, that would help us out immensely: https://customersupport.frontier.co.uk/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=6618296586652
Someone elsewhere in the forum suggested that the issue could be placeable foliage in save files created prior to the update. This would make sense. I've yet to encounter this issue and usually never use placeable foliage. Placeable foliage is also one of the existing mechanics in-game that was given a major overhaul with this last update. Evolution Square's closed goat park suffered from major frame rate drops so presumably, it's not dinosaurs or guests causing the issue.

I think there is an issue with the small dinosaurs too. My compies freeze in one place and die of dehydration.

I turn on my console for the new update and now performance is worse than ever before. Constant freezing and slow down. Can an update ever not break the game? Literally unplayable right now.
That must be in your case, because on my Xbox One the game runs just fine
Seriously, the game has been broken for 4 days now! I’m kinda new here so I’m curious: has anyone threatened Frontier with a lawsuit or something over this? I don’t know about PC or PS but for Xbox the game has been mostly unplayable since launch despite us paying the same full price as everybody else. Threatening the company won't get answers and honestly, it'd be a waste of time. This wouldn't be fraud because many games suffer from some unstable issues after major updates. That's why they get patched afterwards.
The best thing to do is mention it to the devs and wait.
Frontier is usually pretty fast at fixing things, but don't expect something overnight. It typically takes about a week or so, from what I've seen

The game has not been playable the majority of its lifespan for at least Xbox, hence the issue. People paid a very high price for this game and spent a long time not being able to use said product. There’s a difference between small glitches and literally game breaking bugs that render a game unusable. Ark is glitchy as hell yet I can still actually play it.

I was playing on my Square map and the frame rate began to drop. I noticed how I even put 12 dinosaurs in my Park and I try to expand my Park the frame rates began to drop and it just looks bad and I'm hoping that a new update can fix it. Xbox series S. Although I have noticed when I put a lot of foliage decorations in one map the frame rates begin to drop. Especially with the square maps.

Just the same, not everybody is suffering this issue (hence my earlier post).
Just be patient; it's on Frontier's radar, they know about it and will fix it

Have you even looked at other threads? This is apparently a wide spread issue. Congrats to you.

Wow you were right! Shoulda been patient, it's only taking a month to fix a game that had already been broken on xbox for over a year. It's just sad, I predicted this on this forum site before the update even went live!

And how does being impatient help with anything? That's my point. Complaining over a videogame, something fake and completely unnecessary in life, is just a waste of time.
For all we know, it could even be the Xbox system itself and not the game. Just wait, because they likely will fix it. We've seen it so many times in the Planet Zoo community

The game has been broken in many places since release and while some bugs were fixed, numerous other have come up. The developement of this game is a catastrophe and most of the time I stop playing just out of sheer frustration.

The first game with mods was ten times more enjoayable (and challenging if you believe that).

Hey Thoro, if you have anything you'd like to report, I can share it with the team.

News flash, not everyone plays on the same platform…
I'm on a PS4 Pro, and the dinosaurs all just freeze in place and refuse to eat...even though they may be standing right next to a pile of meat or swimming THROUGH a bunch of fish. They either die of not eating or not drinking. The game is unplayable. I'm going to go back to the first game. Fewer dinosaurs, but at least they work the way they're supposed to.
