Frontier business outlook- 'new platform releases for existing games-' - any thoughts?

So from the Frontier business outlook to investors on November 27th 2023 they mention 'revenue contributions from new platform releases for existing games' for the rest of the financial year.

Any thoughts on what this could be? Maybe a rethink into ED on consoles, or planet zoo consoles or something else entirely?

Nintendo Switch seems a fairly untapped market!

My take is that FDev feel they spread themselves too thin with moving to new genres of game in a relatively short space of time (hindsight is a wonderful thing of course).

So with no other context to that statement, yes I think this does mean they will be wanting to maximise sales for existing games as far as they can as a quality over quantity approach.

ED would still have potential problems in this area as even if they can do a current gen only console release I'm not sure how well the XBox series S will hold up.

Yeah i think the switch is a good idea but they will probably wait for the switch 2 because i can't see any of the cureent games being able to run on the switch, especially ED as they stopped console development so unlikely that the switch would be able to run it

The only 2 feasible ideas personally are Planet Zoo console or some sort of Elite Dangerous console re release

ED on console is not feasible at all, unless they've somehow performed some miracle on their engine. Which would be amazing, since I could do with more FPS on PC; but that's a fantasy.

I don't think Fdev have the heart or the personnel for ED on consoles. However they may look at the newer CMS games over the next 3 years being spread to more platforms ??
