Frontier cant deliver.

Message system - Bugged - Says you have x number of new message - Goto Panel.. No messages displayed
Seen this issue, but if you refresh your message filters the message(s) should show - unless you have explicitly filtered them.

Message System - Deletes stored messages without being told to
Not seen this one, but could be the same issue as above - message filter bug. Could also be the given message(s) expired - which some do.

Combat - Flags you wanted for attacking ships showing as 'Wanted'
Some others have mentioned this, never seen it myself. I do wonder if this is intended behaviour in cases where a target is not locally wanted (i.e. a KWS initiated wanted state).

Combat - Ships take an age to go from 1% to 0% dead, while going from 100 to 1% takes normal as expected time
Not noted this particular problem, but it is worth noting that applied damage can vary. In addition, ships typically have a prolonged detonation/explosion effect - i.e. it takes a few seconds for a ship to explode once they hit 0 hull points.

Combat - Ships fly off come back with 100% shields.
Not seen this one either, if they leave then re-enter scanner range (or low/high wake in between engagements) then it could be for good reasons - SCBs for example.

SuperCruise - Tag a ship in sector, then go back to next system in plotted course leads to destination system target disappearing
Seen something similar I think, but not totally sure.

System Jump - System star does not show on ship display
I believer there was a change to make at least some system jumps spawn you at a notionally safe location, I do think FD need to review this since some cases spawn you far from the Sun when there appears to be no reason for it and at other times spawn you right in between tightly coupled stars. I do not see either case that often though.

Missions - Scan Missions show destination unreachable, you have to leave planet and re-enter.
Not seen this one, but I do not engage in scan missions that regularly. There have been occasional spawning glitches on some missions though I have not seen them occur that often.

Missions - If Target for assassination low-wakes to station and you follow, target disappears and mission fails
Are you sure the local forces did not claim your kill or the mission timer did not run out?

Gameplay - Get landing clearance to pad but ship is already on the pad
Not seen this one - I can understand there being a case of voice lag occurring if you spawn very close to the allocated landing pad and get granted docking permission before the traffic control has finished the enter flight control zone introduction.

Overall, yes there are various annoying hic-ups under various occasional circumstances BUT that does not equate to a "bug ridden mess" IMO. As for fixing them, I agree that they should be addressed but I do dispute whether their resolution should delay/inhibit the development of new content. The only issues I have encountered recently have been more annoyances than show stoppers - only show stoppers should really be given any sense of priority.

Gameplay - Outrun a ship trying to interdict you, ship magically manages to catch you up at destination.
Gameplay - Outrun and lose a ship trying to interdict you. Ship magically manages to get ahead of you and interdict you at destination

Missions - Board occasionally has problems loading missions, can lead to disconnect
Missions - Displays 0 missions, then reload board and it shows lots of missions
Missions - Missions ships that were outrun manage to low wake on top of you < 1km from station, then fly off

Gameplay - Get landing clearance to pad but ship is already on the pad

There are plenty more. These are way more important than any 'story in a USS' rubbish.

Did they fix the missions where you have to meet someone at X system and they never show up?

I disagree. It helps me as the customer to identify that I am not the only one who feels this way, and hopefully it helps FD to identify that their delivery thus far has been lackluster.

As OP said... we have this cool galaxy, and cool spaceships, and a cool flight model, but the story and the backdrop (BGS, PP, etc) are sorely lacking.

I totally agree have only been playin ED for a week or two and although still have a long way to go am getting bored. Which is sad bcoz my initial enthusiasm for the franchise was so strong as played elite on Amiga as a kid. But the lack of story/storylines just turns the experience into 1 long grind, with what is possible recently. Ever played galaxy on fire? They copied the elite format on mobile and though the game was visually ect nowhere near ED the story kept you interested. similar to thargoids??? ( Before ED announced). They could have a number of storylines depend on which way you want to go that intersect/change after all ther is always the same goal to become elite.
