Frontier Developer Diary

Wow. Great Video, and nice to see David again.

I really think that you hit the nail on the head. When I play RCT3 (or just about any building game), I have this sense of control. However, there is little sense of feedback to what I do. Sure, I can click on a peep, and see that he is hungry/thirsty/admiring the view/etc., and I can see the average. However, where I think that Thrillville will deliver is the interaction with guests. While I don't like the idea of flirting with my customers, I do like the idea of market research (do you like X ride, and why?), and I really hope that Thrillville delivers on that level.

Plus, adding to the fact that I can play that wicked 18 hole course I added to, is great. Riding the Rides does nothing for me, because it's just a camera on the front of the train. However, playing the games gives more of that 'real' feeling, and I'm not jsut staring through a camera.

Overall, I am totally excited about Thrillville. I'm gald that it will not just be a limited RCT3 in my pocket, but more. :)
