Oh, of course there are the Kickstarter reward starting options which give you a small head start in the desired direction (pirate, trader, etc)... but there's nothing binding.

That's what threw me.....some already stated they were a pirate...so I thought there must be the option...Or..I could jump in the game with the intentions of being a pirate....Attack a ship ....and get a reward as a good citizen because of some record he has got...Trying to be bad.... but keep doing good

I'll decide when I'm about to start. I simply don't know yet because I had so much fun playing all of them in FFE.

But if I had something to say...I'd say alliance. But who knows maybe I end up being an imperial. Several choices and I like them all! XD
