Frontier does not want me to play this game since 2019.

Haven't been able to log into the game since 2019 when I purchased the game.
I dropped the game & stopped trying because I was at it for weeks with no solution.
Here I am again, yesterday and today trying to play this game yet again, and still I am not able to play the regular game.
ALL I can do is play the tutorial foot mission, that's it.
I am on the Steam version. and here are the things I have tried.
  1. - I made sure the network is set properly in the game to my network card.
  2. - I Verified the files through steam, this took about an hour to complete.
  3. - I Un-Installed the entire game and Re-Installed it again via steam.
  4. - I checked my firewall and made sure the game is allowed through.
  5. - I updated my graphics card drivers to the latest version.
  6. - I updated Windows to its latest updates.
  7. - I Un-linked and Re-Linked my Frontier account to make sure its connected.
  8. - I downloaded just a fresh launcher (non steam) from Frontiers website and installed it and I still don't get any server status [OK] in green, nor can I connect.
  9. - I've been googling for answers and in Steam Discussions & still no solutions.
  10. - Called my ISP and asked questions about it and talk to their engineer. I was told everything works fine and that they do NOT ban any games from accessing the games servers or internet. They even checked my line and found NO Problems.
I even logged out of the machine in the launcher and tried signing in both ways, via regular log in through Frontier account,
and through the official steam login account, both also failed to activate the server to [OK] status.
The message I get when I log in through Steam is as follows with a Red Caution Mark.:
"Your connection to the Frontier Servers has been lost. The game may have been suspended. Please try again. "

I don't know what else to do. Been at this since 2019.

This is my Steam Launcher. Server Status has no green either. does not say [OK].

Are you using the internet? That's when you would only be able to play the tutorial. 3 years is a long time.
Have you contacted Tech Support?
The servers have been up and running, so, not sure why it wouldn't be working for you.

That looks like a specific problem with your PC being unable to connect to the FD server network through your internet setup and your ISP. Analyzing this issue would go rather deeply into personal information (like where do you live, who's your ISP, what does your internet setup look like...) which I for one rather would not discuss on an open platform (like this one). Yes, contact FD support (you got the link) - it might take a little time, but they're the ones who can help you here.

1. The server status on the launcher is broken - it is just blank.

2. Maybe you should submit a support request (not the issue tracker) and get them to check your status:

Yes, both of these are the right answer. I was actually going to ask what country you are based out of, it seems like you do have everything there but there's no internet connection allowing you to play, so support is the best place you need to go.

I just sent them all the information.
Also, I talked to my ISP, and they said there is no problem with my internet. And I also spoke with their engineer they passed me to.
And he even said my internet is fine and that they never block any games or game servers whatsoever.
He also said there are NO restrictions on my internet. and he even remotely reset my router.

So its not my internet. :)

Also, I talked to my ISP, and they said there is no problem with my internet.
They will always (pretty much) say that, but just because you can get on to most websites doesn't mean that there isn't an issue with one website because of a mis-configured router somewhere along the route between you and it. But having said that i would expect it to have been sorted sometime in the last 3-4 years if that was the case.

Have you tried asking your ISP to change your IP address? With some ISP's this happens on a regular basis, but with others hardly ever. If you've got stuck on a subnet with someone who was ddosing the server badly your IP may have got blacklisted as well, although again I would have expected that to have fallen away over the years.

If you have Hamachi installed try disabling it. Also have you tried using a VPN, which would allow you to quickly change the IP that the server sees?

I have not asked to have my IP changed, I'll keep that in mind. thx.
I dont have Hamachi installed. Never needed it.
Yes, I tried both ways of VPN and without VPN.
Yes, I have permissions to allow EliteDangerous.exe to pass through.
Its also allowed on my router as well.

Great questions & suggestions guys!
:)

Just a thought - you could try installing Geforce Now with a freebie account, just to see if you can then launch the game from inside there? All the networking to Frontier would be initiated from the Nvidia servers, so it would bypass any potential Frontier-unfriendly oddities in your laptop/router/ISP setup.

Looks like you’ve tried most things already OP but have a look at the connectivity issues troubleshooting guide to see if there’s anything you might have missed:

Also follow the steps to enable netlogging, and send a netlog over to support along with the rest of your info:

(I’m not sure whether the netlog file will generate much in your situation, but it’s always a good idea to try it.)

Hope you can get it sorted out!

Have you tried Legacy Horizons or even the Elite Dangerous base game (can't remember what it is called in the menu) above Tutorial and Arena?

I think IIRC I had this problem when I did the copy transfer to PC (5 minutes download) and then tried running it on my old laptop - got the menu up but can't even load ED any version - so I tried GeforceNow on old laptop and works fine (after +4 hour sync) and is running on Epic.
I tried raw ED on old laptop since and still cannot load ED.

Hey @Bravo17
I tried the VPN again AFTER I completely uninstalled the game from Steam, went into the steam file directory,
and deleted ALL the remaining files left behind that did not Uninstall (I mean everything), Made sure there were no folders pertaining to Elite Dangerous in Steam game directory folder structure at all. (Saved my screenshots though on another drive).
Also went to APPDATA including Local area in APPDATA, and deleted ANYTHING regarding Elite Dangerous or Frontier there as well.
Then reinstalled the game after I rebooted the entire system, to make sure the computer took to the deletion I made.
It still didn't want to connect. But,
Then turned on VPN again and it "seems" I am in the game. (by the looks of it.)
I deleted the old character progress in game (it was only 400-cr) anyways. and started a new character ALT (just so I can start fresh).
Just in case that particular character was stuck on some blits or something.

I am in my first station after my first Foot Mission is complete, I was Taxi'ed back to a station.
Now I am figuring things out. :)
