When I was a junior pilot trainee some twenty-three years ago, I remember having a whole different sound system than I do in my MKIII today. The quality wasn't as good, it was not even stereo, but it didn't matter.
I still loved listening to it, and today it brings back many fine memories.
These days, music isn't what it used to be. I sometimes miss hearing the lovely masterpieces of Mussorgsky, Grieg and Strauss, but I see how they might not "fit in" with our world today. I still don't see why Lowe's "
Frontier Main Theme" or "
Frontier Second Theme" is unavailable.
JamieBoo's version of the Main Theme is interesting, is five-hundred-and-ten times the quality of the original and is almost what I was hoping for. To me: just almost, though. The tempo in the original is so important to the song, and JamieBoo's take, impressive as it is, don't get me wrong, just doesn't cut it for me.
Also, I heard a rumour in the bar in Bloch Station, Ethgreze the other day that someone named JimmyDoo (JimmyDoo - JamieBoo - coincidence?) has strong connections to the Empire. I wonder if they haven't had him sneak hidden imperial propaganda in between the violins and obos, it would be just the thing they'd do.
