Elite / Frontier Frontier Elite II - PC vs Amiga

What are the differences between the two versions?

I was watching the JimPlaysGames videos on Youtube where he plays the Amiga version and I noticed there are more sound effects on the space stations. When landed at Boston Station there is some background ambience. On the PC, only notice ambience on a planetary station. Also when he launches from Boston there is a warning alarm type noise which I've also not noticed on PC. See here - https://youtu.be/7tqNpCGsFO8?t=18m55s

Just wondering, are there any other differences between versions and which is best?

Other than sounds (which are in my opinion better on Amiga), graphics (256 color on DOS, 32 on Amiga) and texture mapping (only on DOS) the only differences that I'm aware of are bugs - there are different bugs on different machines and versions. For example, when you will target your own hyperspace cloud with analyzer the game will crash (happens on Amiga ECS).
As of which one is the best, I will go for Amiga for better sounds. CD32 is also good, but when playing on keyboard & mouse there is that laser-firing bug which is annoying, so you have to play that on cd32 pad.
Jim said that he was using sharoma site for getting some info and I suggest you to check that site as well for some more information about versions.
