Frontier feedback ?

How or when will we know frontier are taking on board all the positive comments but also the criticism and things that need too be fixed after game release ? Do they go through these threads ?

I think they know already. Either the Devs directly, or representatives for them(?) will go through forums and the internet taking notes on reviews and posts like ours. Feedback will get fed back to them one way or another, but obviously they can't fix everything; one person's broken feature is another persons perfect feature.

We can't fix everything reported on the same day of release, but we'll be making a good effort to squash bugs and other issues that arise with time.
Might I please clarify something regarding sleeping Dinosaurs? It's been mentioned on another thread that Dino's are only down when they're sick, or when they've been tranquilised, and that they don't sleep - do they rest though? Are our Dino's going to casually lay down from time to time (without the floating ZZzzz)? If yes, then as far as I'm concerned, that's good enough for me. If not however, would it be something you guys could look at implementing? I'm not overly bothered by Dino's sleeping, but having them take a break (with or without a kit-kat) would be a welcome addition.

Thanks for your reply(?) in advance. :)

^What this person said. Dinos are just human after all and need to rest/sleep. Please do implement it if it‘s not in the game already. I kinda thought it would because I remember seeing that Trike lie down and take a nap in the first gameplay teaser.

You mean living beings.. not human, don't you?

There are video's from very early on that show Dino's laying down - one with a tricerotops I believe.

Edit:

I've seen the video, though it's not quite clear whether the Triceratops in question does so because she's ill, has been tranquilised, or is simply taking a rest. I'd like clarification. :)

We need more carnivores. With the given species list - it seems too heavy in herbivores/too light in carnivores. The JP/JW series typically has a better balance - about 30-40% carnivores, & 60-70% herbivores.

I realize that the Deluxe edition & Fallen Kingdom DLC will likely help correct this imbalance.

The top Carnivores - to add after the Fallen Kingdom DLC
- Acrocanthosaurus (Cloverly & Cedar Mountain Formation)
- Albertosaurus/Gorgosaurus (Egg mountain/Dinosaur Park/Horseshoe Canyon Formations)
- Alioramus (Nemegt Formation)
- Carcharodontosaurus (Chenini/Bihariya Formations)
- Rugops (Chenini Formation)
- Torvosaurus (Morrison/Cleveland-Lloyd/Lourinha Formation)

In terms of species diversity - also would love to see the following species added as well -

Unusual Herbivorous Theropods
- Therizinosaurus (Nemegt Formation)
- Gigantoraptor (Iren Dabasu Foramtion)

Medium size Ornithopods

- Iguanodon (Isle of Wight)
- Camptosaurus (Morrison Formation)
- Thescelosaurus ( Hell Creek/Lance/Scollard Formations)
- Tenontosaurus (Cloverly/Cedar Mountain Formations)

Whilst we can't respond to everything immediately, we are consistently monitoring feedback across the community and customer support teams.

With regards to dinosaurs sleeping: they will only sleep/lie down if they are tranquilized or if they are so sick that they are dying.

After launch, we are continuing to look at your feedback and will take recurring comments into future consideration, where possible (and where it makes sense for the game overall).

What was the decision to not have sleeping? Cos surely it's just the same animation as the animal being tranqed?

Hope unscripted herding behavior is gonna be added. Like dinosaurs moving in herds without it needing to trigger a special social animation.

And pack hunting with raptors.

Appreciate the reply, and clarification. :)

I kind of like that theme, I know when I go to a zoo I hate seeing the animal sleeping. I want to see it up around doing stuff. So I am starting to slowly come around to it.
