Elite / Frontier Frontier First Encounters-Revisited

Hi All,

I have been playing the Elite games for many years the first on the BBC-B computer. I remember buying Frontier First Enc many moons ago and finding it was full of bugs:( Having recently come back to playing PC games like Elite and seeing that Elite 4 is apparently on the way (fingers crossed-at last!!) Has FFE had any of its original bugs sorted out and if so can I download it from anywhere as free-ware or not as the case may be-so I can play with it until Elite 4 bursts into the shops!!!!!!:rolleyes:
Any advice to an old gamer would be much appreciated!!!:)

Thanks everyone for your speedy replies! :)Got a mate who used to play it on the BBC years ago and he wanted to get a version of Frontier to play on his PC so I'll let him know!!

And yes, it may be still apparent that FFE was rushed out of the door, but most of the bugs have been fixed and the game is perfectly playable now.

You can also try the first Frontier, either original PC version (available form Elite Club, needs some sort of DOS emulation), or GLFrontier.

Although Elite IV is taking its sweet time, I suppose it's better they take their time over it rather than rush it like F:FE.
