Frontier has almost ended galactic famine :D

It's wonderful. According to Inara, the only two systems that have some ongoing famine are Mingfu and 4 Sextantis, both of which are permit locked with no way to gain a permit, as they're currently locked out by Frontier.
I also get no results when filtering on the galaxy map.

This is really bad for business. No food aid deliveries, and therefore no convenient wake scanning hot spots.

Do we have to manipulate the BGS to create famine states, or am I missing something here?
Is Wayne Brady gonna have to starve some folk?

Yes, but they will only do so for those who pre-order the next DLC, who will be exclusively famine free forever.

After that, everyone else can starve, as more importantly, Frontier need to keep their word.

This is because negative effects of missions for factions were broken. You'll find those two are only since this got fixed, and were experimental.

There's far too few activities available to cause the negative system states, something which is long overdue for some attention.

There has never been more than 4 systems in famine simultaneously since the bgs reset, to my knowledge.

The good news is FD has acknowledged that they messed up the BGS now and are looking at making it great again.

Not that it really matters, since even with a Famine the HGE spawns are just more Imperial Shielding. Not sure why else we want that state, other than the mission flavour.

And the "Collection Point" where ships drop in and out often. Great for picking up wake scans. Sorry been so long since I have seen a Famine state I forgot the proper name.

It's the only real alternative to farming the Jameson cobra in my view. Distribution Centers ave always been a good steady source of high wakes. Scanning high wakes is hit n miss for DWEs, but reliable for the G4 wake data, I forget the name of, which trade at the same rate os adaptive encryptor captures for DWEs.

I certainly agree that even if you find an HGE in the right state, it's still 50-50 whether it will contain the right stuff, which is, frankly, rubbish.

Aye guys just ran into this problem tonight was looking for high wake scans in Famine but see its been spragged with these permits.
Any other good (easy) sites for high wake scans?
